This picture was taken one year ago (January), before even making my final decision on SL's. I mixed up a concoction of shea butter, aloe vera gel, and jojoba oil what a greasy mess. I pulled it through my hair and took my daughter to ballet lessons-thinking I was cute. I got home looked in the mirror to see that in the back I had yellow crap just hanging on to my hair strands. Yeah too much shea butter....certainly don't miss those days!!!
Its good to reflect on where you have been to understand how far you have come :-).
Not a Gigglz original-lol!

G, I had to read this post twice before I realised that you don't have SLs in the picture (and then I had to enlarge it again!)
I am not saying your SLs look the same as this but I am fascinated because the shape of your hair looks similar - were you have a particular cut while you were natural (which your SLs have followed)? The shape is awesome :)
The rest of the post made me smile, does having SLs make you lazy? Cos looking back I dunno where I found the time to do all the oiling and conditioning and buttering I did for my natural hair (which I obviously don't do now). You got me thinking...
BJ - isn't that the weirdest thing my hair grows into the same style somehow. I think I'm pretty fortunate because I don't have to worry too much about a shape.
Yes, being a loose natural was WAY too much work and effort than I was willing to put in which made my plunge to SL's that much easier!!!
